What better way to keep yourself cool and still shed the weight than swimming and frolicking on the beach. Play beachball, do some aquabic, swim as much as you want. Swimming doesn’t stress the joints and all your muscles are involved. Head out to the pool if there’s no beaches around. You will feel relaxed and there would be no usual after-workout fatigue after exercising.
If you want to spice up your routine, you can enjoy the benefits of water without swimming – work on your upper body by kayaking and rowing. Water-skiing employs all your muscle groups while letting you work on your tan and puts a smile on your face.When you feel adventurous, gather your friends and go water-rafting.
Keep the Wheels Rolling
No matter the size of the wheels, they always make exercising more fun! Rollerblades, cycling, skateboard, take a pick and get out of the house. If it’s possible, you can always commute to work by riding your bike. You can save on gas money and spend some calories in the process. Try riding uphill and downhill for maximum results.
Take a Walk
If running, swimming or cycling isn’t your cup of tea, you can always plan a hiking trip in nature. Of course, if you are in need of some retail therapy, shopping consumes calories as well.
Do Your Chores for a Stronger Core
Working in and around the house also counts as exercising. Move the lawn, mop the floors, blast some music while you’re at it. Just because you are working doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be fun!
